New Slush Syrup Brand Launched

We are delighted to announce the launch of our brand new slush brand - Mr Slush. Delicately made using only the finest quality ingredients and real sugar, our syrup concentrates are unmatched in both taste and value.

 Mr Slush is available in 15 tasty flavours, from the best selling Blue Raspberry, to funky newer flavours such as Pink Bubblegum and Mixed fruit which has a canny resemblance to Vimto.

Our customers now serve millions of our slush drinks each year, demanding only the best product available. Not tempted by cheap alternatives, they understand that too much profit is being achieved to risk cutting corners by selling a substandard drink. Especially when the drink cost difference is less than 1p.

Our slush cocktails have also undergone a re-brand, now called 'Mr Slushed'. More than simply a cocktail flavoured syrup, they are manufactured using complicated addition stepped process with an end result of a genuine post mix, real cocktail  base. Simply add water and the spirit of choice.

Slush Machine Market 2014

2014 has started with promise. With good spring weather and reports of a heatwave this year, our retailers have been preparing by making sure they have a slush machine at the ready.

Slush Syrup Range Increased

It feels like it's been a long winter but now that we are all enjoying some sunshine, we've taken this as an opportunity to increase our range of premium slush syrups.

We're proud of our slush syrup range, manufactured to the highest standards, using 100% real British sugar and with a water dilution rate of 6 to 1, that's 6 parts water to 1 part syrup. Our slush syrup creates a soft product which protects your slush machine motor gearbox but even more important, they are all bright and incredibly tasty which will keep your customers coming back for more.

Our popular slush concentrate flavours includes Blue Raspberry, Strawberry, Lemon and Lime and Kola Kube. In addition to our large slush syrup range, we have introduced Sour Apple, Orange slush syrup and Iron Brew. Shmoo Milkshake

As spring approaches, it has been a good time to reflect on our chilled drink product range and performance over the last 12 months. And there is a surprise for us looking back. 

Shmoo milkshakes, by Dinkum, has been our entire businesses biggest growing product range and by quite a margin.Well we say surprise until we drill down into the detail...

What exactly is Dinkum Shmoo Milkshake? Quite simply, it's a healthy, tasty and hugely profitable brand of milkshakes. When you consider it costs just over £300 to purchase a starter kit, which includes the heavy duty blender, 3 milkshake mix flavours, endless toppings and all the Shmoo branded plastic milkshake cups, dome lids and straws you need, and this investment of £300 will deliver sales revenue of £500, it demonstrates the potential to make profits with no risk.

Looking at the product itself, firstly is beautiful and enjoyed by all age groups. But it's also a healthier option to carbonated drinks. When made, Dinkum Shmoo milkshakes has half the sugar content when compared to most fizzy drinks and squashes. They are low in calories, low in fat, gluten free and suitable for vegetarians. They also contain natural flavours and colours plus the added goodness of fresh milk so are therefore high in protein also.

Finally, a Shmoo milkshake is very profitable and our customers are making healthy margins, if you consider the complete cost for a 12oz milkshake drink, including the cup, dome lid, straw and even milk is under 40p and sell price ranging from £1.50 - £2.00, well you can see where we are coming from. We were really pleased with the performance of Shmoo Milkshake by Dinkum in 2013. By making the Shmoo range available for next day delivery (3 days for the commercial milkshake maker), we were able to offer even more of our customers the opportunity to make huge profits selling milkshakes.

Last year, our Dinkum milkshake sales grew by more than 50% and we are now one of Dinkums largest UK distributors.

Shmoo milkshakes have also undergone a packaging update, with new look easy to use milkshake mix tubs. Still packed in 2kg tubs, we have not increased our pricing and do not plan to in the coming year.

It may be January but it's the perfect time of year to start thinking about spring. If you own a convenience store, post office or sweet shop, have an ice cream van, a pub or café or a larger leisure or catering establishment, it's time to start thinking how to draw in more customers as the days (hopefully) get hotter and longer. Obviously a good selection of cold drinks is a must, but have you considered serving ice cream or Slush Puppies by installing a slush machine?

Ice cream is loved by young and old and makes the perfect snack on a hot summer day. Slush on the other hand is a staple amongst the younger generations who love the brightly coloured ice cold sugary syrup. The distinctive slush machine, when placed in a prominent position, will sell itself thanks the the two or three transparent tanks containing the ultimate summer snack/drink which resemble nuclear waste to grown ups.

Some caterers and particularly pubs and clubs are even marketing slush drinks to adults by mixing in a dash of vodka, or other spirits, mixing this with our beautiful cocktail slush syrups such as Margarita or Strawberry Daiquiri. This has proved very popular all year round and considering the relatively inexpensive ingredients, is a very profitable initiative which is an easy sell. Slush Machines in 2012

Let's be honest, 2012 has been a pretty poor summer, if like us you are a fan of the sun. But what impact has the weather had for our customers regarding selling slush and ice cream? It seems not a lot. The feedback we have been receiving for the last 6 months is that sales have been thrifty and lots of profits enjoyed. Having a slush machine is a great way to drive extra profits.

One reason for this maybe is how much profit slush and ice cream contributes to our customers bottom line. We've had more than a few customers who purchased, for example, a slush machine and with the amount of free slush syrup and stock they have received with their slush machine, have returned their entire investment in less than a month.

Another important factor to consider when determining a slush machine and syrup supplier, is the cost of equipment and syrups you decide to sell. The most successful stories we hear of are the sites that purchased premium quality. Slush machines come in all price brackets, from under £1000 for a cheap imported Chinese slush maker, to double that price for robust branded equipment, built to last and with dedicated support and engineer warranty. For the record, slush supplier margins are much higher selling a twin tank Chinese machine, we know that the costs of these machines are around $400 (or £300) so charging between £900-£1000 is a rewarding business for those suppliers. But do they offer back up, repair, service and telephone support and advise when the machines go wrong (and believe us, they do)? You probably know the answer to that already.

Our advice is avoid, avoid.

Buying a good slush machine from slushco will be the start of a very profitable addition yo your business if you choose wisely. In our view, the best slush machines brand is Sencotel.
